Would you feel calm dealing with the kidnap of one of your staff? Handling crises such as kidnap-for-ransom requires the utmost sensitivity and liaison with many different parties. Are you prepared?

Control Risks organises two and a half day workshops for clients designed to provide them with an in-depth understanding of the delicate issues that need to be resolved during a kidnap incident. The workshops provide a forum to share experiences, as well as drawing on Control Risks’ 30 years’ knowledge of resolving incidents and providing advice, analysis and guidance.

The workshops are interactive and case study based allowing delegates to put the methods examined into practice. The course is offered to a limited number of participants to allow maximum interaction with the instructors.

Advanced practical scenario exercise

In addition to our, Control RIsks now runs advanced, concentrated 3 day courses during which participants will be responsible for managing a simulated, real-time kidnap event as part of a crisis management team.

Participants will be required to engage in all tasks typically associated with kidnap response management such as:

• Forming and staffing an Incident Response Team
• Engaging in regular notification to and contact with the victim’s family
• Identifying and providing all necessary support for any released hostage and his/her family
• Engaging in face-to-face and telephone contact with the various entities involved in the kidnap situation
